How do u make a tutu? :~)

Danni's step by step instructions on how to make a basic No - Sew Tutu :~) Okay so basically people have been messaging me asking how i make my tutus so i thought id share a quick and simple way of making your own tutu :~) What you will need: *Measuring tape *Tulle material *Elastic, ribbon or cord for the wasteband *Scissors *If you are using elastic for the wasteband then u need needle and thread to sew the wasteband together *1.The first thing u need to do is measure your waste, I normally add 3 inches on as my bottom is big and trying to get into the finished tutu on can be a lil difficult lol. I will be using elastic in this tutorial, so next we need the cut the elastic and sew it together either by hand or using a sewing machine. It will now look like this ~ *2.Next, you need to decide how long you want your tutu to be, so take your measuring tape and measure from your waist to where you want the tutu to end. **Double this measurement! *3.Next u need to cut the tulle into strips, the way i do this is to roll the tulle up and cut it, like this ~ *4.Here we have our strips of tulle, I normally have a mixture of fat and thin strips but its totally up to, its your tutu :~) I find it easier to put the elastic wasteband round my thigh to hold it in place like this~ *5.Now the fun part,Take one piece of the cut tulle and slip it under the elastic and even up the ends so that each side has equal amounts of tulle, now tie a knot. (This is why we doubled our length earlier before cutting the tulle.) *6.That's all there is to it, Just take them one by one and tie it on the elastic in a knot until it fills up.
